Easter 2013

This Easter was filled with many family activities to remember. I wanted them to understand why we celebrate Easter so we did this fun little resurrection craft. We watched lots of stories about Jesus and his death and resurrection. Jade kept asking what happened to Jesus and why he died and where did he go?  So it was a great opportunity to explain things to her.  Now, whenever she sees a picture of Jesus, she says "Jesus got resurrected, his spirit got back in his body." I did not get any pictures but you can see what it looks like here.  Jade has such a sweet and perceptive spirit, I just love to listen to what she is going to say next.  The other day she just randomly asked my brother Cole, "So are you going to be the prophet someday?"  Not sure any of us knew how to respond to that one!

The girls dyed some eggs...well...Kiera colored with a crayon and kept saying "cack, cack."  Her favorite part about hard boiled eggs is cracking, peeling and eating them.

Jade really got into dying them this year...she did such a great job!

My two sweet girls on Easter Morning...

LOVE!

Kiera loved checking out all the stuff in her Easter basket. She would open each egg and eat a little bit of the candy then put it back together and move onto the next egg.

Jade was so excited to get a kite...too bad it has not been windy enough to use it yet!  Guess we need to go to Wyoming for that!

Love these two!

They had a blast gathering all the eggs I had "hidden" in our living room.  It never gets old watching them get so excited about finding the eggs!

At one point Ben did this with an egg and Kiera did not know what to think of him.  She stared at him for a long time like this!

Pretty Jade all dressed up in her Easter best.

Our best attempt to get a shot of them both in their new Easter dresses from Grandma Revelli.

Grandma also made them some cute bunny tails...

which Jade promptly ate because it was her favorite...cotton candy!
