Daddy grew beets in our garden and the girls helped him harvest them.

A day with playdough

One of the girls favorite things to do lately is play with playdough...We had fun this day as I experimented and made chocolate scented playdough. Smelled good enough to eat!

Hutchings Museum...bird show

During the summer we went with our friends Rachel, Audrey and Jared to the Hutchings Museum bird show. The girls had fun checking out the bugs with the magnifying glasses...

Maybe I should show her how to really use it...maybe not...too funny!

Beating the Indian drums...

Friends...Audrey and Jade. We were all so sad when Audrey's family moved to Lehi. No longer could we just run across the street to play. So we are glad we can still get together.

The girls were pretty impressed with the birds they saw. Here we have a Peregrine Falcon...

The favorite of the day...A Great Horned Owl. The girls kept calling out..."Whooo, Whooooo."

And finally a Golden Eagle.

Then Jade got eaten by a dinosaur...

and both girls were thrown into jail! All in all a very productive day, ha ha!

My best friend (Jenny McKee, now Nesbit) from college came to visit us in June. I was so happy we were able to finally meet her new little baby, now 4 months old. He was so pleasant and super cute! We took a walk up Provo Canyon to play in the water. It was a short visit--but so fun to see her after 5 years!

Kiera's favorite part was feeding the fish. She would get some food in her hand and throw it all at the fish. They were well fed today!

One of Jenny's favorite things to do is to have S'mores around a campfire, so we made a fire in our backyard pit and set to work. This was Jade's very first time roasting marshmallows!
