Water Bubbles!

Ben came home one day from Walmart with a giant container of water balloons.  He thought the girls would enjoy them!  Did they ever!  Jade calls them water bubbles and asks almost daily to make some more.  The trouble is as soon as you blow one up, they pop it and want another one.  Oh, well I guess that is how it goes!

Jade showing me the splatters of water on her face...

One of the balloons had a hole in it as Ben was filling it up and Jade decided she needed a drink!

By the time it was Kiera's turn for a drink, the poor balloon popped!

Kiera would run as far was from the water as she could and then cover her eyes as she knew what was coming...

Then Ben would give it a toss and tell her to catch!  What a great shot!

Our two water rats!

Crazy Girls

Just some fun pics with the girls as they were getting ready for their first pool party at a friend's house.  I cannot get over how old Kiera is looking in these pictures. I definitely don't have babies anymore!

Memorial Day BBQ in E-town

On Memorial Day, the girls and I headed up to E-town to have a BBQ and spend sometime with my family.  We spent the day going through some old boxes of our stuff at my parent's house so we could help them clean it.  I found some old treasures I had not seen in years...barbies, ponies, baby dolls, and stuffed animals.  It was fun to reminisce.

Of course it was windy (when is it not in Wyoming!) and it got really cold in the evening for the BBQ.  Having traveled up and it was warm in Orem before we left, we had no coats or warm clothes.  So Grandma and Grandpa brought up some old relics from their collection...
Here was my pick of the night...the old Revco coat..I thought it fit rather well...he he!

Two little munchkins eating their yummy food...

Two more munchkins belonging to my brother!

And the newest munchkin...the first grandson peeking out of his warm blankets.

Grandpa and Grandma

The birthday boy...just turned 17!  I remember when he was as big as my two little ones.  Where has the time gone?!

Mitch and Manda sporting their fun coats and trying to stay warm by the grill...

Mama...smile!

Finally, to end the night, we went to the cemetary to visit my little brother Gabriel's grave as well as other family.  I wanted Jade to have this experience and tradition.

Lagoon with my Family

We had the opportunity at the end of May to go with my family to Lagoon for my brother's birthday.  It was the first time taking the girls to anything like this and they really enjoyed it.  After an initial bout of screaming because the bumper car got stuck, they enjoyed the rest of the day with their cousins! Jade could not figure out how to turn the wheel to make the bumper car go.  It was a hard thing to master, poor girl and so they spent the entire ride screaming and this is all the pics I got...

Jade really liked the kid swings...

And so did Maddi, just look at those giant grins...

Next up was a miniature version of their Rocket ride, which I only went on as a teenager and hated!  You see I am not a big fan of heights and it seems every roller coaster gives me a headache now that I am older.  I blame it on my fall a few years ago when I was pregnant with Kiera and hit my head really bad.  Even though they did a catscan and nothing was wrong, I still get very dizzy going on things like this or just turning in a circle.  Ben did not want to go on this with Jade, but Jade really wanted to go, so off we went!

She was all smiles at first but after the first 3 drops, she lost it.  It was just too long of a ride and too much spinning/dropping for her....and me!  But a great memory!

Next it was on to the helicopters!  Those have been there since I was a kid!  Grandpa Wilson would be proud!

Manda and Marly having fun on the jeep ride...

This was a ride that Jade and Maddi went on together...they had a lot of fun, especially giggling as it threw them around the curves.

Kiera was not quite sure about the rides...but she did want to ride Bulgy the Whale (another one that has been there since I was a kid).  We finally got her to stick her hands up for a picture.

But most of the time, she looked like this...

and this...

Jade's turn on Bulgy!

Three cousins...great friends!

The four little girls really wanted to go on the tea cups and they finally talked Grandpa into going with them.  No one else volunteered.  It was a great thing to see my Dad bonding with the girls.  They absolutely loved it!

We did make a stop at Lagoon-A-Beach and here is Jade lounging out after we were all done.

Grandma helping Kiera eat her almonds.  Kiera loves to eat nuts but we have to still bit most of them in half...silly girl!

Grandma and Kiera

Going on a car ride...2 steering wheels, what more could you ask for!

This was our last ride of the day as the girls were getting super tired.  Case and point, Jade's face is a little puffy in this pic because she had just finished a crying fit because she did not get to sit in the pink boat.  Another little girl had beat her to it and she was so sad.  But soon got over it as she and Kiera rang the bell and drove the boat in the water.

Well, Jade drove and this is what Kiera did the entire time...this kid loves to play in the water all the time, anywhere!

I hope you had fun on your birthday Uncle Cole...we enjoyed seeing you and celebrating with you!
