A Few Days with Lena & Nicole

The girls got to play with their cousins Lena & Nicole when they came to visit for a few days this summer.  They had a blast playing in the water...

Ben relaxing with his sister Sandy...

Our little climber monkey! Anything she can get on top of, she will get to it!

Playing games and doing flips off her couch! Kiera is a crazy one and not afraid of anything!

Catching those butterflies...or maybe not!

The girls tackled Uncle Ben and Jade did not quite know what to think about that.  Someone else was playing with her Papa.

Has to try out the big girls game!

Grandma Peggy took Jade, Lena, and Nicole for a whole day and they had a blast.  They went to the Temple and to the Wooden Park.  Jade could not stop talking about all the fun she had with them!

At Grandma Peggy's house the girls all dance around this table to the music of King and I "Shall We Dance."  Jade absolutely loves this and has recently started asking me to play this song so she can dance at our house. She refers to this Grandma as the Grandma with King and I.  Too funny!

A Sweet Moment...

Just Because...

Ben's cousin Lauren stopped by for a quick visit.
While the adults chatted, the girls played in the sandbox.
I took the opportunity to play around with my camera and take some sneaky shots, enjoy!

Looking at the sand on her hand...bet you can't guess what happens next!

Yep...she ate it--but judging from her face she did not like it very much!

Jade had a taste of the sand too, but did not like it so Papa had to teach her how to rinse and spit!

Seriously...again?! This girl puts everything in her mouth!

Cousins galore!

In July we had a chance to get together with lots of cousins, aunts, and uncles from my side of the family.  We traveled up to Wyoming and had way too much fun playing with everyone! Jade and Kiera got to meet some cousins they have never seen before and had a blast!  Jade and Sara are about a year apart in age, they had tons of fun sharing and pushing this stroller together.

Jonathan took a real liking to little Kiera and was teaching her how to do all sorts of things....play the piano, watch TV, eat animal crackers and much more!  It was so funny because he would constantly report to me how Kiera was doing on a certain task--he followed her everywhere and those two bonded instantly!

There was a bag of jellybeans at Grandma's house and of course guess who found them...Jadee loves her jellybeans and I am not sure how many handfuls like this she grabbed!

We went on a walk to the park...cute girls!

Sara is a little monkey!

These two had so much fun on the slides...

Grandma, Kiera, Great Grandma--a shot I could not resist!

Kiera bumming a banana off Great Grandpa!
Jonathan teaching Kiera how to roll a ball.  Afterwards he came up to me, handed me the ball and said, "She's not very good, take this and practice with her!"

This piano has been at Grandma's house ever since I can remember. Each grandchild has played with it and they all love to bang on it.  Now it's Kiera's turn!

Kiera found a picture of our little family on Great Grandma's piano. She stared and smiled at if forever--I guess to see if we were real or not.  It was cute!
And then she leaned in and gave us all a great big kiss!

The infamous little kids table!  I remember sitting at this exact same table when I was little--it is a tradition to cherish.  I just can't believe I am now old enough that it is my children that are sitting there!  Funny thing is, it is now me chasing the kids around, begging them to eat--instead of being the one running around and not eating!  It really made me have empathy for what my parents went through!

Kiera absolutely loved sitting at the big kid's table--what a treat!

I found this scene in the back bedroom...Jade had enlisted Sarah to paint her fingernails!

No visit to Grandma's would be complete without a friendly game of basketball at the park across the street!

Getting daring with cousin Brooke! Jade loved all of her cousins and followed them everywhere--Brooke took good care of her!

Once again--Kiera was surrounded by the boy cousins.  This time Jacob and Hyrum were teaching her something.  She had a great time with them.

We had a great trip to see my family!  It was much needed and I love them all so much--it is a bummer they live so far away!  Kiera and Jade played so hard--we wore little Kiera Bear right out!
