The Days of Our Lives

If you have been wondering what we have been up to, here are a few things...

Every new (and old) toy I get, I must find and chew on the tag!! Jade could care less what she is playing with as long as there is a tag to chew on. Seriously I have never seen a baby want to chew so much on literally everything in sight!

We finally went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. Ben and I have had these free tickets for 3 years and have never gone. What a better way to go then to take our cute little girl. I think she quite enjoyed it, other than being a little tired.

My New Easter Hat

Playing outside is lots of fun...it is so awesome when she thinks I am funny!!! I love it when she laughs and gets so excited that her arms just flail.

Her newest discovery....GRASS! She will sit there and play with it for hours!

Jadee got this beautiful new hat for Easter from my parents and she looks so adorable in it.

food, food, food

So here is Jade's latest food tasting...peas! Boy were they green! Watch below to find out if she liked them...





Next is a short video clip of her "chewing" or shall we say gumming some puffs. She loves these and it is so cute to watch her try to chew them. I wonder when she will get some teeth, we are still waiting for those first ones to appear!

Daddy hung this swing from our tree and I love it!

Jade loves to swing whether it be at home in the backyard or at the park.

Amusing herself...

Jade has become very good at amusing herself lately. One day we found her like this while she was jumping in her door jam bouncer. She had latched onto to this plastic ring and was balancing it between her lips and tongue and moving it up and down. Toro, Toro, here comes Jadee the bull!

We had a baby shower for one of the teachers on our team and there was another teacher there who had a baby the same time as me. Our kids are about one week apart and it was fun for them to finally meet and interact. Here are some pics from that day.

Future Mommies!

EIGHT MONTHS OLD ALREADY!

We can't believe our little lady is 8 months old already! She is growing by leaps and bounds everyday! Here are some of Jade's achievements:

• says "mama," "mom," and "dadadadada" and a bunch of other random syllables
• can roll from front to back to front all the way across the living room floor to get to whatever she wants
• eats lots of fruits, veggies, and cereal and has recently learned to gum those little puff things (it is so fun to watch her "chew" with no teeth)
• sits up all by herself and has great balance when she falls she usually leans on an arm now instead of just letting herself hit the ground hard
• sleeps from about 8pm--6am most nights, with 3 naps a day
• now knows when mom and dad are in the room or when they leave
• smiles and laughs alot and makes this cute little crinkle-nose face
• has learned to splash in the bath tub (now mommy looks like she has taken a bath when really she didn't even get in the water)
• can pick up small things with her whole hand and is working on grasping with her thumb and forefinger

Here are some picture I took of her this month in her new Easter dress. She looks so old and grown up in it. What a beautiful baby!

Cousins x 2

We went to Ben’s sister Sandy’s house to eat and play some games. They have two little girls and they love to play with Jade. Mostly they just like to hold her, but needless to say she is getting way too big to be held by either of them. So they settled for letting her sit on the floor and then they would surround her and let her play with all of their toys. It was cute to see them play together. Pretty soon I am sure she will be running around with them!

At the Park

Daddy has taken Jade to the park a couple of times when they are home together during the day. But, on Sunday the three of us went to the park. It was so cute to see her swinging and going down the slides with Ben. We all had a lot of fun even though Jade didn’t quite know what to think of all the weird things.

Tight Squeeze

Chillin' on the swing...she makes this kind of gasping sound when we swing with her. It probably feels like when we go on something really high and your tummy feels like it drops. I can't imagine how a baby would feel!

Even mommy had fun climbing on this crooked ladder thing.
