We love our silly girl!

Quite often lately when I come home, this is what I see.... Jade loves to be outside, helping Daddy with all of his projects and wear his safety goggles! This week they built a gate for the garden and basement stairs so the girls can play in the yard this summer without falling down the stairs or pulling up our veggies!

And here is the finished product....

As you can see little Miss Smarty Pants already knows how to push the lever to open it!!

Jade likes to put all sorts of buckets on her head and walk around. She especially likes this one because she can see through it.

Her favorite thing to do with a closed door is stick her fingers under it and giggle. If someone is on the other side of the door and grabs her hands she just laughs even louder! It is hilarious!

Finally!!! Jade finally has enough hair on top for me to put it into a small ponytail. This isn't the best picture but it was one in which she actually stood still! I think it makes her look like Pebbles!

A visit from Grandpa and Uncle Cole

This weekend we had a nice visit from Grandpa and Uncle Cole. They came to stay the night at our house. Jade had lots of fun building lego towers with them. However, I am not sure who had the most fun, Cole, Ben, Jade or Grandpa.....see if you can tell from these pictures. OH, men and their building projects, he he!!

Jade enjoyed helping them build...
But she also enjoyed just watching them too...

Mostly this is what she did, took a relaxing break in her tub of legos!!!

Cole was the master engineer, supported by his two helpers!!

I thought this picture was precious, Jade trying to put her Tigger slippers on Uncle Cole's feet! Good Luck!

More Adventures in Eating

What can we say, Jade loves to eat (most days)! I couldn't resist posting these fun smoothie pictures. She makes the funniest faces, especially when she crosses her eyes!

And I may have taught her a bad thing, but I couldn't resist. The other day for dinner we had grilled cheese and tomato soup. The spoon was taking entirely too long so I taught her how to slurp her soup right out of the bowl. It worked great and as you can tell by her face she thoroughly enjoyed her soup.

OUTSIDE!!!!

There have been several days these past few weeks that have been warm enough so that we could enjoy the great outdoors. Jade just loves being outside, running around, exploring, and much more. Here are some shots of what she does....

Being that I am super pregnant, I have to sit in a chair while she is outside. She decided that she should sit in my chair and eat her snack. She is getting so big and can now climb up on chairs by herself. It is actually quite hilarious to watch because if she can't swing her leg to get up there, she just pulls herself up on her belly using her arms to pull all her weight up. Once she gets most of the way up she pulls her legs under her, turns around, and sits up just as big as can be!

She loves to play in the dirt and rocks and then she comes to show me her hands and say "ewwww!" It is hilarious!

Ben bought this new pink swing for Jade. It is bigger than her old one so she should be able to swing in it a little longer. She absolutely loves to swing and now that we have the fence up, her toes kind of hit it a little bit when she goes forward. She thinks that is the funniest thing and just laughs and laughs. She also likes being so high that she can see into the neighbors yard!

Jade's Grandma & Grandpa Wilson gave her a wagon for Christmas and we have been waiting for nice weather to put it together. Finally it came and Ben built it. She absolutely loves to sit and ride in it. She can climb in and out by herself and has learned to count to 3, so we will say 1 and then she says 2 and we both say 3 together. Then she laughs and giggles especially when we pull her fast! Enjoy the video too!

"WEEEEEEEE!!!!!"

Jade is becoming quite the basketball star, he he!! She loves to put all kinds of balls through her hoop. This was particularly funny because that soccer ball is quite heavy but she managed to dunk it. Watch the video to see how excited she is!

Watch me dunk it!

Since Ben loves to play soccer, he has also started to teach Jade early. He set up his soccer goals and then they chase each other and the ball around the yard trying to "kick" it into the net. Jade likes to play with the net and sometimes gets stuck in the holes, silly girl!
I love love love this picture, she is listening so intently to her Daddy!

Getting Ready for Baby Sister

I have been trying little by little to get ready for our new baby girl that is due in less than 3 weeks! I had a checkup on Tuesday and the Doc said I am at 2cm and progressing nicely. I am afraid I might go early so I have been trying to take it easy. But this pregnancy has been a lot harder than with Jade. I seem to hurt alot more and have a lot of fake contractions. So the countdown has begun and we will see how much longer until our new little one arrives!

Jade has been such a big helper, she has done laundry (well mostly she picks up the clothes I drop because quite frankly I can't bend over anymore!), she has tried out the carseat, the bassinet, and tried on the babies shoes and socks.

I love this picture because she is trying and concentrating so hard on getting those little socks and shoes on. She really did not know why they didn't fit, but it was so cute to watch her!

While going through all the clothes and stuff for the baby, we found a box of things that were given to Jade by her cousins. She immediately fell in love with this ladybug Halloween costume, made me put it on and off several times. She played in it for a good hour but then got so hot we had to take it off. It was supposed to be for this Halloween but I have a sneaky hunch that it will not fit by then!

Happenings from last week...

We are training Jade young, she is an expert at doing the laundry. It is so cute to see her put the wet clothes from the washer into the dryer. We are still working on folding (instead of unfolding!) all the clothes!!

This past saturday was also our niece's birthdays. They had a double party with just the Wilson families. Here Jade is getting some exercise. She did not know what to think of it, at first she would just climb up and stand on it. Then after Daddy showed her what to do, she would kind of bend her knees and bounce just a bit.

She then discovered the doggy door for Heidi and Michael's dog. She kept sticking her fingers and arms through, we kept expecting her to go through herself but she never did!

Jade had a hard time trying not to open all the presents, she thought they were hers!

As she wandered around the house exploring everything, she found aunt Heidi's shoes and had to show Aiden how they worked. She was even trying to put them on his feet.
The girls got a popcorn bowl and sure enough, Jade put it right on her head and walked around calling it her hat!
We thought it would be funny to stick Jade in this giant gift bag that the girls got. She did not last long but that was one huge bag!
Taking a whack at the pinata, actually she just ran away with the stick!

She loved the yummy cupcakes! Licked all the frosting off and left the cake!

And finally, Daddy had to give her some hot sauce just to show his family how much Jade likes it! Even Ben said it was super hot but she gulped it right down and kept asking for more!

She is such a salsa girl! Her eyes did not even water, nor did she complain!
