New Tricks!!!! And boy are we in trouble!!

So our lovely little princess has decided it is time for her to walk finally! She has been standing and walking holding on to our hands for awhile now, but now she feels confident enough to try it on her own! Here are some videos of her first attempts at walking. It is the cutest thing in the world, she gets a big smile on her face and just goes for it! Her record so far is 17 steps in a row before falling!

This video shows her saying hi and bye, two of her new favorite words that she says to everyone and everything!!

A trip home and my sis bridal shower

This past weekend was fall break for me which means we get 2 days off of school which makes for an awesome 4 day weekend! Jade and I packed up and headed for Evanston to help my mom with my sister's bridal shower. We had a great time, made tons of food and goodies, and Jade had tons of fun playing with my family. She absolutely loved being the center of attention!

Here Kaeli shows off her wad of gum. We asked her questions about Troy and for each one she answered wrong she had to eat a piece of gum. Wow! Her mouth was kind of full, but that's ok because she will get to know her new groom soon enough!

I made these cake balls for the first time. They were amazing and so easy! I used german chocolate cake with the pecan frosting and then dipped them in almond bark! Yummy!! I am excited to try more varieties.

Jade got a new hat from Aunt Kaeli, I think she loves it! And check out her new halloween shirt from Grandma, she is "wickedly cute!"

It was super cold in Wyoming (well cold compared to Orem I guess) so we dressed Jade up warm. Look how cute our little snow man is!

Look at Our Giant Pumpkin Charlie Brown!

Way back in the spring when I planted the garden, I decided that I wanted a giant pumpkin this year. I was tired of the little dinky ones we kept planting or that you got from the store. So...I diligently planted and cared for my pumpkin seeds all summer long! And...this is the result of my labors. Our very own great pumpkin! Ben said it weighs about 50 pounds! Hopefully just a phase...

So today I feel a bit down because my little girl has suddenly become anti-mommy and I am completely blaming it on working!! I hate it because now when I come home she doesn't even want to go to me. She would rather have Daddy. I love that she loves her Daddy so much and he takes such good care of her! It is really cute to see them together. However, it hurts me like I have never felt before when she rejects me and just screams at me to get away. I am hoping this is just a phase, but man these next 7 months of work may just be the longest of my life if it isn't a phase. I wonder if it has anything to do with me not breastfeeding her anymore. It kind of happened around that time, I guess she thinks if I don't need to feed her from me anymore than she doesn't need me? So sad.....

Jade's New Necklace (and first one at that!)

Ben made this cute necklace for Jade. She wore it around proudly all morning and to our surprise she didn't even try to take it off. I think she thought it was cool to wear toys around her neck.
