Orem Summer Fest

Uncle Cole came down to a BYU basketball camp and he was able to spend one night at our house before we dropped him off.  Jade of course found his shoes and had try them on.  I bet she could fit 4 of her feet in his one shoe!  She wears kid size 10 and he wears men size 16!  She always talks about how she is going to be big like Cole someday!  The other day she was eating apricots and I overhead her lean over and tell Kiera that if they keep eating those apricots they will get big like Uncle Cole!  (I secretly laughed alot inside because he is 6'7" and I wonder if he got that tall just by eating apricots!)  Gotta love the thinking of a little kid's mind, everything is literal and makes total sense to them!  Jade's shirt is also wet because Uncle Cole and her had a nice waterfight the morning before he left for camp--it made her entire day!

Later that week, my Mom came down to get Cole and we went to the Orem Summerfest with the girls.  This potato treat is what Jade picked to eat!  I think she just liked the way it looked and all of the spices they had to sprinkle on it.  (It did not taste very good!)

Kiera enjoyed biting it off the stick too!

The girls each got to make a craft...Grandma was patient enough to help Kiera with her princess crown.

And Uncle Cole helped Jade make her pink purse!  What a great boy scout!

They had a bunch of booths to look at and buy stuff.  I think we spent about an hour in this princess booth.  It was full of fun dresses and princess accessories to try on!  Plus they had a candy basket and I am pretty sure Kiera at all of the smarites and dum-dums out of it!  That girl is addicted to candy.  They let the girls dress up and get a picture taken and then they emailed it to me...here is their princess picture!

The girls got to "drive" the firetruck...we could not get Kiera out of here!

Jade had to make sure she was securely buckled in before she could drive!  Such a cautious little girl!

Next stop was the ambulance, they let them try out the little bed that they put people on.  Jade really enjoyed buckling herself on and then getting raised and lowered.

Kiera, however, did not quite know what to think. Her face tells it all.  She just stared and held on really tight as they raised and lowered her.

Time for a few rides...both girls were smiling at the beginning but then when it started spinning, that was it for Kiera, she screamed the entire ride.

However, Kiera LOVED this car ride.  Each time they came around the corner, she was all smiles!
