Jadee Lady is 3!

It is almost impossible to believe that Jade was born 3 years ago already!  Time has gone so fast and she is becoming quite the little lady!  She was so excited to turn 3!

On her birthday this year we surprised her with rollerskates! She had actually been asking for some for about a month, ever since Daddy took her rollerblading up the canyon. (He rollerblades and she sits in the stroller--she absolutely loves it!) But this time she kept asking for her own rollerskates--pink ones!

She became quite the confident little skater!  She stuck her arms out for balance--we had no idea she knew how to do that! 

She absolutely loved her new skates!

For her birthday breakfast she requested blueberry pancakes, but of course she had to help make them!

Her request for her birthday dinner was her ultimate favorite---PIZZA!  I am not sure where she gets her pizza fetish from (me!)  but she loves it!

Miss Kiera enjoyed it too!

I asked her if she wanted a cake, cupcake or donut for her birthday and this is what she picked out!  Another one of her favorites right now--notice all the pink sprinkles!

My Little Helpers

 

Gotta love this cheesy face...this is the face Kiera Bear pulls when we point the camera at her and she says "cheez!"

What happens when Mama works from home and all the chores don't get done??  She has 2 little helpers to sweep the floor...

Fires

There were so many fires here this summer...it affected my allergies really bad.  Almost every day we could smell smoke from somewhere.  Here is a shot of the sun setting in our "fire sky."

Pretty Girl...

Kiera is such a pretty little girl...she finally has enough hair to put in ponytails!  However, she does not like me doing it...so this one little pony was a miracle!

Hutchings Museum

While Uncle Helmut and Aunt Helga were here we had the chance to go to the museum with them. Aunt Helga loves learning about American Indians so this was the perfect adventure.  

 The girls had fun with the magnifying glasses...

I think we have a new drummer in the family...too bad we can't take this home. It occupied the girls attention for 20 minutes!  I can always buy earplugs! :)

 

Wouldn't a teepee make a great playhouse?  Jade loved running inside of it!

Ahh!! We all took a turn being locked in the jail.

The Fair

August is Fair time..so we took a quick trip up to Evanston to go to the fair with Grandma. 

This was Jade's favorite place to be...it took some coaxing to get her to try the big slide..but after a few times down on her belly...

She got braver and this face was priceless.  Sorry about the underwear shot but I guess that is what happens when wearing a dress down a steep slide!

Shoes...a great source of protein!!!

 They visited the balloon guy and put in their requests..Jade wanted a princess, but all he could make was Ariel...close enough:). Kiera just wanted a balloon so he made her a penguin.

Stop for a snowcone...or maybe just some straws?

Jade was so excited to see all the chickens and got excited when she found the eggs they had laid.

A Visit from Helmut & Helga

 In August, Ben's Uncle Helmut and Aunt Helga came over from Germany for a visit.  The girls loved meeting them and it was fun to practice our German! We went to a park for some games and yummy food.  The girls loved this golf ball game...Kiera was quite the expert!
