Maddi loved the holes in the table. Kaeli would poke her fingers up through the holes and Maddi would try to catch them! It was the cheapest, most entertaining game of "whac-a-mole" I have ever seen!

The Many Faces of Jade

Jade keeps us laughing with all of the faces she pulls. Here are just a few…

Here is my favorite face of hers....

We have a 10 month old!

It’s hard to believe that we have a 10 month old! I know I have said this before, but time is going faster than I would like it to. It does not seem possible that I could have an almost one year old!! She is now learning new things daily and with her increased mobility and curiosity, it is becoming quite the challenge to keep up with her.

Her shirt says "What part of Princess don't you understand?" And you can really see by the next couple of pictures that she is a princess and acts like one too!

Some of her newest feats this month are:
• army scooting across the floor as fast as she can go (she uses her arms to pull herself while kicking her legs and then drags her belly, it is the cutest/funniest thing I have ever seen!) Enjoy the two videos below of her crawling:








• making distinct consonant sounds like “Da, Ba, Ma, T, T, T”
• can finally make a raspberry sound on her own, she figured out how to stick her tongue between her lips and blow spit all over!
• her first tooth popped through and the 2nd one is well on its way
• is a master at finding and putting in her own pacifier
• can feed herself little finger foods, she is getting good at grasping things between her thumb and forefinger but if we don’t watch her she will shovel in the food as fast as she can!
• pulls herself up to standing on almost everything
• can now get from her belly to a sitting position (she loves to practice this one when she is supposed to be taking her naps, silly girl!)

Happy Father's Day!

In honor of Father's Day I thought it would be fun to post some recent pics of Jade and her Daddy! They have so much fun together!

Ben puts his hand on her lower jaw and Jade immediately starts making noise then he jiggles her mouth and she sounds so funny! She loves this!

Here are some fun pictures of Jade and Daddy. They were crawling to each other and then when Jade got to Ben, she licked his face. One of her favorite things to do!!

First Tooth!!!

Jade's first tooth finally popped through!! Yeah, we have been waiting a long time for this as her gums would swell, then look like something would pop through, then go down, only to start all over again! Well, it finally happened over Memorial Day weekend. But, we just barely got a picture of it, I had to hold her down because she refused to open her mouth and when she did her tongue was in the way!

Yeah for Jade, this is a great thing for you and it is so fun to watch and hear you bang it on every toy and cup in the house! I love it!

Team BBQ

On June 5, we had our last team bbq at our house. This is the last time we will be able to get together as some of us are moving on with our lives. Heidi is going to be a stay at home mommy and move to Minnesota with her hubby, Julie got a job teaching at a different school, Melissa is going to teach 4th grade...and that's all I know of for now. We shall see what the new year brings.

It was fun to get together outside of school and just hang out. Thanks everyone for the yummy food and wonderful company!
